Argentine / Chilean Puna
The Puna is a region of extreme altitude and untamed beauty, located in northern Argentina and Chile. This territory, suspended at more than 3,500 meters above sea level, is characterized by a dry climate, endless skies, and landscapes that seem from another planet.
Here, the land becomes art: vast plains that stretch into the horizon, salt flats that dazzle in the high plateau sun, volcanoes that guard the sky, and high Andean lagoons of impossible colors, home to flamingos and other unique species. Everything in the Puna seems to be on pause, as if time obeys other laws.
Among its wonders, the region is home to UNESCO World Heritage sites, notable for their natural and cultural value. Examples include the Quilmes Archaeological Site and the Qhapaq Ñan – Inca Trail, an ancient network of paths that crosses the Puna and connects cultures throughout the Andes. Other sites include the Humauaca Gorge and Laguna de los Pozuelos.
It's an ideal setting for lovers of the remote, of nature in its purest state, of a deep connection with the environment and with oneself. The Puna doesn't scream, it whispers. And in that silence, it reveals its immensity.
We invite you to explore this high-altitude desert in a unique, authentic, and unforgettable way.
