Darwin experience.
On this multi-adventure excursion, we depart by 4x4 along Route 40 to the Santa Cruz River. After a technical briefing and suiting up with drysuits, we begin paddling downriver. Along the way, we'll see geological formations and a wide variety of wildlife, elements that inspired Darwin on his legendary voyage through these lands. After paddling for 80 minutes (15 km), we'll have lunch on the riverbanks before returning to El Calafate.

Safari Experience is a midday 4x4 excursion immersed in the Patagonian steppe. Ideal for the day of arrival or departure. Whether through trail interpretation or sightings, you'll discover the delicate balance of the regional ecosystem, which varies with altitude. There are excellent chances of spotting guanacos, condors, foxes, and other native fauna. Lunch or Dinner: Appetizers, lentil stew with red chorizo and bacon, and cheesecake for dessert. The Safari Bike is a bike ride through the highlands of the Estancia 25 de Mayo Nature Reserve. We travel south in 4x4 vehicles along the Calafate Stream valley. After a 15-km climb, we arrive at the Estancia 25 de Mayo section, where our mountain bikes await us. We'll be amazed by the sightings of a wide variety of wildlife: guanacos, foxes, choikes, condors, and eagles. On the way back, we'll enjoy lunch or dinner before descending to El Calafate.

This is a medium-difficulty trek that follows the Calafate Stream until reaching Estancia 25 de Mayo. The surrounding hills form a canyon. Along the way, you can observe birds, river trout, and flora characteristic of the steppe. Geological formations contain marine fossils. The trek culminates after traveling 7 km in the section at 800 meters above sea level, where lunch or dinner awaits you, and then you return to El Calafate by 4x4. Lunch, drinks, and dessert are included.

The excursion begins with hotel pickup at the Estancia 25 de Mayo headquarters. At the estancia headquarters, you'll receive a brief but essential technical briefing. Equipped with helmets and gaiters, you'll be ready for the exciting horseback ride. We begin the ride through the impressive El Calafate Creek Canyon. Cross streams and marvel at geological formations that tell stories of millions of years. After an hour and a half of riding, you'll arrive at the charming Cueva del Arroyo (Stream Cave). Here, the gauchos will welcome you with a country-style lunch. After lunch, return to the hotel.

Just 23 km from El Calafate, on the way to the Perito Moreno Glacier along Route 11 and within the boundaries of Estancia Alice, lies Cerro FrÃas. The transfer is the same for all activities. They split up upon arrival at Cerro Frias.

Chalten Soft Experience: Once in Chalten, we'll visit the National Parks Interpretation Center and begin a guided hike to the Mirador de los Cóndores. We'll then continue to the restaurant for lunch (included). In the afternoon, we'll visit Chorrillo del Salto, located 4 km north of the town.

There, we'll board a boat to the Vespignani Reserve. During the 20-minute cruise, you'll be able to see the Huemul and Vespignani glaciers and the north face of Mount Fitz Roy.

We'll begin an adventure to the petrified forest and Cerro Los Hornos (on the way to Chalten), where you'll see petrified tree trunks and fossils that tell the story of a distant past. We'll conclude the trek at Parador La Leona, from where we'll transfer you back to your accommodation in El Calafate.
