Navigation Magdalena Island
Daily half-day excursion on a regular basis
Magdalena Island is located in the center of the Strait of Magellan, north of Punta Arenas, and is one of the largest Magellanic penguin colonies in Chile, with more than 60,000 pairs of these graceful birds. The excursion begins with a two-hour voyage through the waters of the legendary Strait. Once on the island, we can walk among hundreds of penguins that will come our way. The time spent on the island is one hour. The total duration of the excursion is approximately five hours.

Covered in abundant vegetation, this national reserve protects native species of lenga and coigue trees that grow in this 19,625-hectare park. It is home to a unique topographic landscape and water reserves that allow for sports and recreational activities. It is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including great bustards, caiquenes, chinchillas, pythios, woodpeckers, thrushes, mallards, mallards, wild mice, and pumas. It offers interpretation and hiking trails specially designed for nature lovers. This excursion includes the Las Lengas Circuit (3.6 km).
