A trek to Laguna Esmeralda from Ushuaia offers the opportunity to explore one of Tierra del Fuego's most breathtaking landscapes. During this excursion, accompanied by a guide, you'll walk through virgin forests, glacial valleys, and crystal-clear streams until you reach the dazzling lagoon. The hike begins in the Andorra Valley, crossing peat bogs and following a river in a RAMSAR protected area. You ascend through the Andean Patagonian Forest, amidst steep slopes and mountainous terrain, learning about its history. The trail culminates at the Laguna de los Témpanos, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and a stunning glacier. Lunch and views are shared before returning along the same path. The activity lasts all day, is of medium difficulty, and requires a good level of fitness.

Albino's Eye Glacier.
The hike begins in the Tierra Mayor Valley, crossing forests and peat bogs to Laguna Esmeralda. It then begins a demanding climb over rocky terrain, surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Andes. The ascent takes 4:30 hours to reach the glacier and its impressive 20-meter wall. Lunch is served and the scenery is enjoyed before returning. This is a highly difficult trek, recommended for experienced hikers who love a challenge.

Trekking Estancia Tunel.
The hike begins at the Escarpados Beacon and runs through the Playa Larga Reserve, bordering the Beagle Channel. You'll pass through cherry forests and typical Fuegian flora, while discovering archaeological remains of the Yahgan people. The route culminates at the historic Estancia Túnel, a former cattle ranch and industrial area. The return route follows the same trail to the transport point.
