This is a short and easy hike that introduces us to the local landscape and flora. The starting point for this simple hike is located on Route 23, which leads to Lago del Desierto, just under 4 km from the town. We begin along a path under a vegetation of lenga and ñire trees. After a few minutes, we reach Chorrillo del Salto, a beautiful natural waterfall that cascades from mountain cliffs at a height of about 25 meters, bringing meltwater from the glaciers found on the high peaks. This is a place protected from the winds, ideal for a mini picnic. You can choose to drive to the parking lot and walk for just 15 minutes, or walk the 3.5 km from the town. (45 minutes)
